<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner and an air cleaner with a humidifying function which can avoid increasing noise and can avoid the deterioration of efficiency even if a diameter of a turbo fan is increased without a scroll casing in a limited space. <P>SOLUTION: The air cleaner includes: a body 1 having a suction port 2 and an outlet 3 of air; an air cleaning means; and the turbo fan 7 and an electric motor 8 for driving the fan in a casing 6 having a substantially-rectangular parallelepiped shape. A relationship between the maximum width W of the casing 6 parallel to a plane having the outlet 3 and the diameter D of the turbo fan 7 is satisfied in W<1.3×D. A working surface 15 which is a rotational direction when viewing from a side of the outlet 3 has a first auxiliary discharge port 16, and a reaction surface 17 has a second auxiliary discharge port 18. The first auxiliary discharge port 16 has an opening cross section larger than that of the second auxiliary discharge port 18. As a result, even if the diameter of the turbo fan is increased, the effect of avoiding an increase of noise and the deterioration of efficiency is achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
