PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high back pressure to a vane in a final stage of a compression process in a gas compressor.SOLUTION: A gas compressor comprises a compressor main body 60 that includes: a rotor 50 in which vane grooves 59 are formed; a cylinder 40 having an inner circumferential surface 41 of a shape profile surrounding the rotor 50 from outward of an outer circumferential surface 52 of the rotor 50; and five plate vanes 58 inserted into the respective vane grooves 59, and provided to be able to protrude to the inner circumferential surface 41 of the cylinder in response to a back pressure by refrigerator oil R supplied from wiper grooves 21 and 31 (predetermined oil passage) to the vane grooves 59, in which a compression chamber 43 compressing attracted refrigerant gas G (gas) once per rotation of the rotor 50 is formed. The compressor main body 60 is provided in a housing. The wiper grooves 21 and 31 communicate with the vane grooves 59 in a predetermined rotation angle range α of the rotor 50, and the vane grooves 59 are closed spaces in the other rotation angle range &bgr; except for the rotation angle range α in which the wiper grooves 21 and 31 communicate with the vane grooves 59. |
