PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-maintain linear power generation device for generating power using natural energy, having no limitation in an installation place, requiring neither high-level technology nor large equipment cost at installation, without affected by natural environments such as a climate and damages by storm, flood, etc., and capable of enhancing cost-effectiveness to cause a surplus in an energy balance.SOLUTION: The linear power generation device includes: a first and a second passage composed of two cylinder-shaped objects; a fluid of relatively high density filling the first passage; a fluid of relatively low density filling the second passage; a plurality of movable bodies, each having at least one permanent magnet attached on the inside or the outside thereof, configured to sequentially move through the first and second passages using a difference in density between the fluids filling the first and second passages; a first and a second guide path mutually communicating between the respective end parts of the first and second passages; movable body moving means disposed on the first and second guide paths; and an induction coil wound through the whole length of the first and second passages. |
