A wireless network node comprising: a transceiver configured to wirelessly receive a first repeating isochronous signal having an isochronous transmission period and a second repeating isochronous signal having an isochronous transmission period; and a processing system coupled with the transceiver, the processing system configured to determine the isochronous transmission period of the first repeating isochronous signal based on a timing of the received first repeating isochronous signal, the first repeating isochronous signal forming an established isochronous communication channel;selectively activate and deactivate the transceiver based on the determined isochronous transmission period of the first repeating isochronous signal to generate a duty cycle including one or more search windows, the one or more search windows spaced in time such as to not interfere with the reception of the first repeating isochronous signal; andidentify the second repeating isochronous signal received by the transceiver during at least one search window; wherein the one or more search windows are spaced according to the determined isochronous transmission period of the first repeating isochronous signal.
