Suggested are a lithium air battery for reducing interface resistance and a preparation method thereof. The lithium air battery includes a composite cathode which includes a porous material and a first solid electrolyte; a lithium metal anode; an oxygen blocking layer adjacent to the cathode; and a cathode interlayer arranged between the cathode and an oxygen blocking layer. The cathode interlayer includes a second solid electrolyte having lithium ion conductivity.
