PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump capable of suppressing the generation of vibrations while adjusting the discharge pressure of oil.SOLUTION: An oil pump 1 is equipped with an inner rotor 10; an outer rotor 20; a pump housing 30 storing the inner rotor 10 and the outer rotor 20; and a pressure adjusting mechanism 60 which adjusts the discharge pressure of oil. The pressure adjusting mechanism 60 is equipped with a communication opening portion 70 opening to a closed-up space 51 in which a pump chamber 50 has the maximum capacity, and communicating a suction port 41 and a discharge port 42; a piston 80 having a head portion 81 inserted in the communication opening portion 70, an energizing member for energizing the piston 80, and a pressure introducing hole 90 applying the discharge pressure of the oil in the discharge port 42 on a shoulder portion of the piston 80. When the discharge pressure becomes a predetermined value or more, the piston 80 is pushed down to form a communication groove in the communication opening portion 70. When viewed from a driving shaft direction, an area of the head portion 81 of the piston 80 is smaller than an area of the closed-up space 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
