The purpose of the present invention is to provide an energy saving type air conditioning system using only external air through pretreatment of introduced external air, which is environmentally friendly because the air conditioning system using only external air is provided without using a conventional compressor freezer using refrigerant, and especially saves energy of a heat exchanging unit by pretreatment of external air introduced from the outside, thereby ultimately improving an energy saving effect of the whole system, and a method for air conditioning external air. In order to achieve the purpose, the energy saving type air conditioning system using only external air, comprises: a pipe module which consists of an air supply pipe and an air discharge pipe so as to supply external air into an air conditioning space and discharge the external air to the outside; an indirect evaporative cooler (IEC) which is arranged on an upper side of the air supply pipe so as to cool introduced external air by evaporation; a mixing box which mixes air passing through the indirect evaporative cooler and air discharged from the air conditioning space; and a heat exchanging unit which heat-exchanges air guided from the mixing box to the air conditioning space, wherein the pipe module includes an introduced external air pretreatment unit which pretreats the introduced external air by supplying air discharged from the air discharge pipe to a side to which the external air is introduced. |
