The present invention relates to a magnetic carrier and a two-component developer. More specifically, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a magnetic carrier which can be used in a two-component developer ensuring a long-term output of high-quality images even when environment variations occur. The magnetic carrier includes a magnetic carrier core and a resin-coated layer containing a coating resin A and a coating resin B. The coating resin A is a polymer obtained by polymerizing (meth)acrylate ester monomers which have a hydrocarbon substituent group, whereas the coating resin B is obtained by polymerizing (meth)acrylic monomers, has a polarized group, and is a polymer having an acid value of 4.0-50.0 mg KOH/g. In addition, the content of the coating resin A is 10-90 wt%, and that of the coating resin B is also 10-90 wt%. Further, the acid value of the resin component in the resin-coated layer is 1.0-10.0 mg KOH/g. |
