PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a shift lever device in the shift body tilting direction.SOLUTION: In a shift lever device, a shift lever 26 is supported by a retainer 20 by inserting a select shaft 30 of the shift lever 26 into a select frame 24 of the retainer 20, by inserting the shift lever 26 from an upper side part into the retainer 20. Here, in the select shaft 30, a projection quantity of a circular shaft 30A and an intermediate shaft 30C is set smaller than a projection quantity of a plate shaft 30B, and when inserting the select shaft 30 into the select frame 24, the circular shaft 30A and the intermediate shaft 30C can pass through a support column 24B of the select frame 24, and a tilting angle in the lateral direction to the retainer 20 of the shift lever 26 can be reduced. Thus, a lateral directional dimension of the retainer 20 can be reduced, and the shift lever device can be miniaturized in the lateral direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
