According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for analyzing an electromagnetic wave in a plasma medium comprises: a step of assigning a plasma angular frequency (ω_p) and a collision frequency (ν_c) as a plasma parameter; a step of determining a weighting factor (F_w) based on flatness (&dgr;F); a step of determining a conversion factor (m_1, m_2) for a minimum variance error; a step of converting the plasma parameter into a conversion variable (m_1ω_p^2, m_2ν_c) based on the conversion factor (m_1, m_2); a step of constituting an analytical equation based on the weighting factor, the conversion factor (m_1, m_2), and a high-order (2, 4) finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method; and a step of calculating the FDTD method based on the analytical equation.
