PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a recording medium used for a fixability evaluation and to determine an appropriate fixing temperature for each type of the recording mediums in a short time.SOLUTION: An image forming device 1 includes: an image forming portion 12 for forming a toner image on a recording paper P; a fixing portion 13 for fixing the toner image formed on the recording paper P by the image forming portion 12; a rubbing roller 15 for rubbing a fixing surface of the recording paper P fixed with the toner image; and an image density detection portion 16 for detecting an image density of the fixing surface of the recording paper P after having passed through the rubbing roller 15. A plurality of patch images PI for fixability estimation are formed at intervals in a recording paper conveying direction in one sheet of the recording paper P, and patch images PI are fixed on the recording paper P by changing the fixing temperature of the fixing portion 13 for every patch image PI formed. Each image density of a rubbing portion part W and a non-rubbing portion part NW are compared by the rubbing roller 15 with respect to each patch image PI fixed at each fixing temperature, thereby setting an appropriate fixing temperature for the recording paper P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
