PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support system capable of surely displaying a rear image by preventing an overhead image from being automatically displayed by misunderstanding as retreat parking when starting for a retreat after advance parking.SOLUTION: A parking support system comprises imaging means (2) for imaging the rear of a vehicle, image processing means (10) for synthesizing an overhead image (21) from a rear image (20) imaged by the imaging means and image display means (3) for displaying the rear image or the overhead image when the vehicle retreats, and can switch display of the image display means to the overhead image from the rear image when the vehicle enters into a parking frame, by detecting the parking frame (6) from the rear image or the overhead image by the image processing means (10), and is constituted so as to prohibit switching to the overhead image when positioned in a predetermined range by determining whether or not the front end (6a) of the parking frame (6) is positioned in the predetermined range (60) by an image imaged in advance parking time, when detecting retreat operation after the vehicle is parked for an advance in the parking frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
