PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display system capable of more satisfactorily indicating a position in a stereoscopic image.SOLUTION: The image display system comprises: a display device for displaying an image viewable as a stereoscopic image on a plane; and a beam irradiation device capable of indicating one point with scattered light obtained by projecting an invisible beam or a visible beam on a plane. The display device comprises a camera capable of imaging the scattered light and a superimposition unit for superimposing a pointer image onto a display image, and the superimposition unit superimposes the pointer image onto the display image in accordance with the position of the scattered light imaged by the camera.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
