PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron capture detector that can prevent the number of electrons in a cell chamber from running short and can prevent the size of the main body from becoming large beyond necessity.SOLUTION: An inner wall surface 15 of a cell chamber 11 is exposed by an exposed area smaller than the superficial area of a radiation source 14. Thus, the number of electrons in the cell chamber 11 increases. Therefore, even when sample gas of high concentration is supplied into the cell chamber 11, the number of electrons in the cell chamber 11 can be prevented from running short. Furthermore, by making the exposed area of the inner wall surface 15 of the cell chamber 11 smaller than the superficial area of the radiation source 14, the size of a main body 1 is prevented from becoming large beyond necessity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
