PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately protect a surface of an optical member or an electronic member with a surface protection film while improving peeling performance of the surface protection film.SOLUTION: In a surface protection method, a surface of a member to be protected, which is either an optical member or an electronic member and which is to be subjected to heat treatment, is protected with a surface protection film. The surface protection film includes a base material and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer which is arranged on one face of the base material and is composed of an energy ray-curable pressure-sensitive adhesive composition. The surface protection film is stuck to the surface of the member to be protected via the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the surface protection film stuck to the surface is cured with an energy ray, and subsequently the member to be protected having the surface protection film stuck thereto is subjected to heat treatment.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
