PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a controlling method of the image forming apparatus capable of obtaining a proper effect with respect to a treatment cost of penetration synthetic treatment and capable of easily obtaining satisfiable printing result.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus which draws a plurality of image objects on the basis of a plurality of drawing commands contained in printing data includes: setting means for setting drawing execution of the image objects according to the drawing command or deletion conditions of the image objects according to the drawing command; detection means for detecting the image objects corresponding to the drawing execution or the deletion conditions which are set from the printing data; and execution deletion means for executing drawing of the image objects according to the detected drawing command or for executing drawing which deletes the image objects according to the drawing command, on the basis of the drawing execution or deletion conditions which are set.
