PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a currency exchange device capable of properly coping with erroneous loading of a currency pack, and a currency pack using the currency exchange device.SOLUTION: A foreign currency exchange machine uses a foreign currency pack 10 that stores foreign currency thereinside and to which an identifier for identifying the kind of a content is attached. The foreign currency exchange machine includes: a pack loading unit 103 in which the foreign currency pack 10 is loaded; a pack transportation unit 110 that transports the foreign currency pack 10 from the pack loading unit to a transportation position; identifier sensors 161, 162 that are provided in a transportation path 105 of the pack transportation unit 110, and detect an identifier arranged in the foreign currency pack 10; and a control unit that blocks transportation of the foreign pack 10 to the transportation position on the basis of detection results of the identifier sensors 161, 162.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
