PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of downsizing an accumulator in a vehicle in which a hydraulic pressure is supplied from the accumulator to starting frictional engagement elements of an automatic transmission when an idling stop control is cancelled.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive device 10 comprises: an accumulator 5 accumulating a hydraulic pressure of oil supplied to starting frictional engagement elements constituted by an AT clutch 2d and an AT brake 2f; a solenoid valve 6 capable of regulating a flow volume of the oil supplied from the accumulator 5 to the starting frictional engagement elements; and a control unit (controller 9) releasing the solenoid valve 6 until the starting frictional engagement elements generates a first torque to such a degree that the starting frictional engagement elements do not slip after it is determined that an idling stop condition is not satisfied, and reducing the degree of opening of the solenoid valve 6 and restricting the flow volume of the oil supplied from the accumulator 5 to the starting frictional engagement elements so that the torque generated by the starting frictional engagement elements is equal to the first torque after the starting frictional engagement elements generates the first torque.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
