PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens having a wide angle of view and a high zoom ratio, achieving satisfactory optical performance over the entire zoom range, and being compact as a whole system.SOLUTION: The zoom lens includes, in order from the object side to the image side: a first lens group having a positive refractive power; a second lens group having a negative refractive power; a third lens group having a positive refractive power; a fourth lens group having a positive refractive power; and a fifth lens group having a negative refractive power, and during zooming, the distances between the adjacent lens groups are changed. During zooming from the wide angle end to the telephoto end, the first lens group moves toward the object side, and the distance between the fourth lens group and the fifth lens group decreases. The focal distance f1 of the first lens group, the focal distance f4 of the fourth lens group, the total length TDw of the lens at the wide angle end, and the back focus bfw at the wide angle end are set appropriately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
