PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring apparatus and a measuring method capable of increasing convenience.SOLUTION: A measuring apparatus 10 for measuring biological information by causing a region to be examined to come in contact with a contact part 16 includes a light source 21 for emitting measuring light, a light receiving part 22 for receiving scattering light of the measuring light from the region to be examined, a biological information generation part 18 for generating biological information based on the output of the light receiving part 22, and a control part 17.
