PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent a fixing belt in a rotation stop state from being locally heated by a heating member.SOLUTION: A fixing device 18 according to the present invention includes: a fixing belt 21; a heating member 23 that heats the fixing belt 21; a voltage application part that applies a voltage for heating to the heating member 23; a current detection part that detects a value of a current flowing through the heating member 23; a moving member 23 that moves between a first position where the value of the current flowing through the heating member 23 is a first value and a second position where the value of the current flowing through the heating member 23 is a second value; a driving mechanism 28 that moves the moving member 27 from the first position to the second position in conjunction with the stoppage of rotation of the fixing belt 21; and a control part that stops the application of the voltage for heating to the heating member 23 by the voltage application part in association with the value of the current detected by the current detection part changing from the first value to the second value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
