PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor improving the visibility when replacing the character image of image data, in which a dot area exists, to a character.SOLUTION: A dot area detector 205 detects whether or not there is a dot area in the background of a character image, out of the image data. A dot image acquisition unit 207 acquires strip dot image data where the size in one direction is the size of one dot image data constituting the dot area, and the size in the other direction perpendicular to one direction is a size corresponding to the size in the other direction of the character image data, out of the dot area. A dot image replacement unit 208 replaces a specific area including the character image data, where the size in one direction is a multiple of the size in one direction of one dot image data, by the data obtained by arranging a multiple of the strip dot image data in series in one direction. A character replacement unit 206 arranges recognized character data on the replaced strip dot image data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
