摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a single magnetic composite particle superior in dispersibility, magnetic field-collecting property, and dispersibility after magnetic field collection; a method for manufacturing such a magnetic composite particle; and an application thereof.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing single magnetic composite particles, a silica-coating step for coating ferromagnetic iron oxide particles 1 having an average particle diameter of 0.5-1.5 μm with silica and a dispersion step for dispersing the particles are executed more than once, thereby forming a silica coat layer 2 of a thickness of 0.1-1.5 μm on the surface of each ferromagnetic iron oxide particle. The variation in the thickness of the silica coat layer is 30% or less. The average particle diameter of the single magnetic composite particles is 0.7-3.0 μm. The single magnetic composite particles have an aspect ratio of 1.0-1.3. Further, a biologically active substance-supporting single magnetic composite particle is arranged by fixing a biologically active substance to the surface of each single magnetic composite particle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
