PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide filter modules which may be optionally regenerated and which allows improvement of the economy.SOLUTION: A filter module 52, 54 for use in dead-end and cross-flow filtration processes comprises: a frame element 62, 64 comprising two substantially planar faces defining first and second openings at opposite sides of the frame element; a first and a second filter medium 56 in the form of a sheet material; and a space defined and delimited by the frame element and the two filter media, where second sides of the filter media are arranged to face the space. The first and second filter media are attachable in a fluid tight manner to the frame element and fully cover first and second openings of the frame element, respectively. The frame element accommodates one or more ports providing a fluid flow path from the space to the exterior of the filter module.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A |
