PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which manages an ink remaining amount in an ink tank by synchronizing with an ink consumption amount in an ink bottle for supplying the ink.SOLUTION: A printer 200 can communicate with a RF tag 100 which is attached to an ink storage part 320 for storing ink and stores identification information for identifying an ink pack 310 and use information indicating that the ink is used. The printer includes: an ink tank 220 for storing the ink; a storage part 260 which stores a history list indicating a history of acquisition of the identification information by communication with the RF tag 100, and a liquid remaining amount; and a control part 250 which stops printing when the liquid remaining amount becomes less than a predetermined amount. The control part 250 communicates with the RF tag 100, determines whether the identification information acquired from the RF tag 100 is stored in the history list or not, and increases the liquid remaining amount by a predetermined amount when the identification information is not stored and the use information indicates that the ink is unused.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
