PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement binding machine provided with a brake mechanism of a wire reel capable of preventing the generation of excessive load.SOLUTION: A reinforcement binding machine 10 for binding a reinforcement by feeding a binding wire W and winding the wire on circumference of the reinforcement includes: a wire reel 13 freely rotatably supported by a binding machine main body 11; brake means 36 for stopping rotation of the wire reel 13; a power source for actuating the brake means 36; and excessive input protection means which is provided on a power transmission course for transmitting rotation force of the power source to the brake means 36 and cuts the power transmission course when a fixed load or more is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
