The present invention relates to method for designing a 3D-modeled object. A modeling graph including arcs representing relationships and nodes of geometric objects is provided. Procedural relationships are expressed by the unidirectional arcs. The relationships connecting the geometric objects additionally include live relationships expressed by bidirectional arcs. The provided modeling graph adheres the rule stating all arcs of each strong component of the modeling graph to be bi-directional. When a relationship connecting two geometric objects included in the data defining the 3D-modeled objects, the method selects two geometric objects to be connected by the relationship to be added according to the rules. The method can enhance the design of the 3D-modeled object. |
