PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of reducing a heating value without deteriorating a video quality.SOLUTION: A selection order of a gate signal line 17b of a display screen is acquired so as to reduce an amplitude difference of a video signal outputted by a source driver circuit 14 to a source signal line 18. A selecting circuit 12a selects a row of pixels 16 in the acquired selection order of the gate signal line 17b. The source driver circuit 14 outputs a video signal while corresponding to the gate signal line 17b of the selected pixel row, and the video signal is written into a capacitor 19b of the pixel 16. In a blanking period, the selecting circuit 12b on/off controls the gate signal lines 17f, 17e, 17c, 17d of all screens simultaneously, and performs off-set cancelling of the pixel circuit. After the off-set cancelling, a switching transistor 11e is turned on, and a voltage of the capacitor 19b is applied to a gate terminal of a driving transistor 11a to supply an EL element 15 with light emission current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
