PURPOSE:To enhance production efficiency and at the same time obtain a tile carpet excellent in external appearance and functionality by a method wherein a raw carpet fabric is set by a mold with special structure and at the same time the backing layer of a tile carpet is injection-molded. CONSTITUTION:At least one projection 4 per cm<2> of the cavity 19 surface of a movable mold 1 and a plurality of through holes, which communicate outside the mold, are provided on the cavity 19 surface. If the number of the projection is a few, boles are apt to be made on a raw carpet fabric due to the pressure of injected backing material and the backing material may flow onto the pile surface of the raw carpet fabric. In addition, the preferable number of the projection is 5-20 per cm<2>. The raw carpet fabric 3 is surely set in a recessed part 2 provided on the mold by engaging with the projections 4 and, further, by reducing pressure through the through holes 5 communicating with a pressure reducing device. After the mold is clamped, the backing material under molten state is poured from gates 10 in a cavity in order to mold a backing layer 17 onto the rear surface of the raw carpet fabric 3. |
