PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of easy adaptation in a case of estimating a remaining gas rate.SOLUTION: An engine remaining gas rate estimation apparatus comprises: means (41) calculating a min (IVO, EVC) time remaining gas rate by a primary expression represented by min(IVO, EVC) time remaining gas rate=(min(IVO, EVC) time cylinder internal volume)×(gain 1)+segment using a cylinder internal volume at min(IVO, EVC) time, a gain 1, and a segment; means (41) calculating a remaining gas rate increment during the valve overlap; and means (41) calculating a sum of the calculated min(IVO, EVC) time remaining gas rate and the calculated remaining gas rate increment during the valve overlap as a remaining gas rate, the gain 1 is specified in response to an engine rotational speed and an engine load and the segment being specified in response to the engine load in a case of calculating the min(IVO, EVC) time remaining gas rate by the primary expression.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
