PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a printer while preventing its components from being heated or broken.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a carriage that has a print head for discharging ink to a recording medium and can reciprocate; a rotation body 32 that rotates in a first direction and a second direction that is opposite to the first direction, according to the reciprocating movement of the carriage; and a fan 33 that rotates in the first direction by contact with a part of the rotation body 32 when the rotation body 32 rotates in the first direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
