METHOD FOR PRODUCING AIR-SPUN YARN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can produce an improved air-spun yarn without requiring a complicated and expensive change in an air spinning machine.SOLUTION: In a method for producing a yarn 10, two slivers 4 and 4' positioned adjacently to each other are stretched by using a draft device 5 and then supplied together to a pneumatic type twisting mechanism 6 to be drawn out from the twisting mechanism as the yarn 10. The yarn is wound to form a cross-wound package 11. As the twisting mechanism 6, an air true twisting spinning mechanism including a twist stopping device is used. Both of the slivers 4 and 4' supplied are different from each other in at least one character. First slivers 4 and 4' are supplied to the twisting mechanism 6 in such a way as to be closer to the longitudinal direction axis line of the twisting mechanism 6 than second slivers 4 and 4'.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
