PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information service system capable of providing suitable information for assisting in cooking dishes to be offered to a plurality of persons.SOLUTION: An information providing method includes: S1 of accepting input of preference information on each of a plurality of members constituting a registered group; S3-1 of reading schedule information out of a memory stored with schedule information associated with timing of a meal for each of the plurality of members; S3-2 of selecting a menu as a combination of at least one or more dishes to be cooked for a meal based upon preference information and schedule information of at least each of the plurality members among pieces of cooling assistance information each on one disk; and S4 of outputting cooling assistance information on respective dishes included in the menu.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
