Disclosed is an ultrasonic inspecting device for a thick plate. According to an aspect of the present invention, the ultrasonic inspecting device for the thick plate comprises: a plurality of transfer rollers horizontally transferring a thick plate; a distance sensor sensing a separated distance between an upper end of the transfer roller and a bottom surface of the thick plate; an ultrasonic inspection unit performing ultrasonic inspection by being in contact with the bottom of the thick plate; a vertical transfer unit vertically transferring the ultrasonic inspection unit; and a control unit controlling the vertical transfer unit in order for the ultrasonic inspection unit to be in contact with the bottom of the thick plate in accordance with a sensing result of the distance. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the present invention provides the ultrasonic inspecting device for a thick plate capable of vertically transferring the ultrasonic inspection unit performing ultrasonic inspection by being in contact with the bottom of the thick plate.
