PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce a fixed pattern noise increasing with a temperature by small power consumption.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging device 13 for imaging image light incident via an optical system; an image processor 20 for generating an image signal on the basis of a signal outputted from the imaging device 13; and a controller 18. The controller 18 determines the pixel value of a shielded area of the imaging device 13 and in a case where the determined pixel value is not smaller than a threshold, generates an instruction to cause a cooling mechanism such as a cooling fan 32 for cooling the imaging apparatus 13 to operate, and causes the cooling mechanism to operate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
