PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article usable for both of a tape type disposable diaper and an absorbent pad.SOLUTION: The absorbent article: has a longitudinal direction, a lateral direction, and a width direction that are orthogonally crossed with one another; includes a first waist part, a crotch part, and a second waist part aligned in the longitudinal direction; and further includes fastening tapes that are fixed to respective ends in the lateral direction of the second waist part, locked to the first waist part to form a single waist opening part and a pair of leg-perimeter opening parts, thus being usable as a tape type disposable diaper. At least cutoff lines for cutting off protrusions that protrude outward in the lateral direction of the second waist part, out of the second waist part, are formed on the absorbent article in a spread-out state. By cutting off the protrusions from the cutoff lines, the absorbent article is usable as an absorbent pad without protrusions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
