PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal mold capable of reducing overcooling.SOLUTION: A metal mold 1 according to an embodiment of the invention is a metal mold having a recess 5 formed on a cavity surface 2 and having a cooling channel 6 formed therein. A heat insulation layer 7 is disposed between a bottom surface 5a of the recess 5 on the cavity surface 2 and the cooling channel 6. The heat insulation layer 7 has a space 7a formed between the bottom surface 5a of the recess 5 on the cavity surface 2 and the cooling channel 6. The space 7a is filled with a medium having a lower coefficient of thermal conductivity (for example, air 7b) than other parts of the metal mold 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
