PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of cracks in a carrier due to a heat cycle.SOLUTION: There is provided an electrically heating type catalyst device which comprises a carrier 10 for supporting a catalyst, a pair of electric diffusion layers 11 formed opposite each other on an outer peripheral surface of the carrier 10, wiring members 30 fixed to each of the electric diffusion layers 11, an outer cylinder 60 which covers the outer peripheral surface of the carrier 10 and has an opening 61 for drawing out the wiring members 30 to the outside on the side surface and a wiring accommodation chamber 70 which is provided protrusively from the outer cylinder to accommodate the wiring members 30 drawn out from the outer cylinder 60, wherein the carrier 10 is electrically heated via the wiring member 30. The wiring accommodation chamber 70 is equipped with heat radiation preventing means 74 for preventing the radiation of heat from the wiring members 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
