PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater that can prevent current from flowing a heating target object which is in contact with a metal cylinder.SOLUTION: A heater 10 has a rod-like or cylindrical ceramic body 1, a heating resistance body 2 provided in the ceramic body 1, a first electrode 3 and a second electrode 4 which are provided to the surface of the ceramic body 1 and connected to the heating resistance body 2, a metal cylinder 5 in which a portion of the ceramic body 1 at which at least the heating resistance body 2 is provided is inserted, and a metal layer 6 provided between the outer peripheral surface of the portion of the ceramic body 1 provided with at least the heating resistance body 2 and the inner peripheral surface of the metal cylinder 5. The first electrode 3 itself is insulated, and the second electrode 4 itself is electrically connected to the metal layer 6. Accordingly, even when current leaks to the surface of the ceramic body 1, the current can be made to flow to the second electrode 4 through the metal layer 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
