PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of reducing output of a traffic announcement with a low acoustic quality.SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver includes a memory 13 for storing a station list on which receivable broadcast stations searched for by a sub tuner section 10b are registered. When a reception status of a broadcast station from which a main tuner section 10a is receiving broadcasting is reduced lower than an allowable level and the reception is to be switched to a receivable broadcast station on the station list, in the case where there is no traffic information station in the same station group as the broadcasting station from which the main tuner section 10a is receiving the broadcasting, on the station list in the memory 13 but there is a traffic information station in a different station group, a microcomputer 12 selects the traffic information station in the different station group from the station list and sets the traffic information station as a broadcasting station from which traffic information is received by the main tuner section 10a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
