The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating viral liver damages, comprising glycoprotein isolated from porphyra yezoensis. The glycoprotein isolated from porphyra yezoensis according to the present invention suppresses viral death and inflammation of liver tissues, and suppresses damages to liver tissues by inhibiting oxidative stress generated from death and inflammation of liver tissues through promoting activity of biological anti-oxidative material, thereby being helpfully used in preventing or treating liver damages.
