An apparatus of providing a game service comprises: a user information management unit registering pet feature information including basic feature information and activity feature information corresponding to a real pet to correspond to pet identification information; a game instance management unit setting relationship with the pet identification information and generating game instance configuration information connected to an online communication service according to a request of a user joining the online communication service; and a pet character interface management unit generating pet character interface corresponding to the pet identification information, based on the game instance configuration information, the basic feature information, and the activity feature information. The game instance management unit provides the user with a game instance which the user can play by using the pet character interface. Therefore, intimacy between the user and the real pet may be increased. |
