According to the present invention, an apparatus for controlling a linear compressor comprises: a detection unit to detect an operational condition of a linear compressor; a control unit which refers to the operational condition to output a correction signal for correcting at least one operating frequency of a linear motor; and a drive signal generation unit to generate a drive signal of the linear motor according to the correction signal to output the drive signal to the linear motor. The control unit comprises: a reference operating frequency determination unit to determine a reference operating frequency at which the linear motor must be operated; and an actual operating frequency determination unit to determine an actual operating frequency as an arbitrary value included in a prescribed value width around the reference operating frequency in a vertical direction. The correction signal is determined by the actual operating frequency. According to the present invention, operating efficiency of the linear compressor can be increased, and noise and vibration can be reduced. Also, a premium product can be provided. |
