Provided is a method for combining a nucleic acid and a nucleic acid without the use of an enzyme reaction, as a technique for combining a nucleic acid and a nucleic acid through use of a naturally occurring structure or a structure similar to a naturally occurring structure, the method for non-enzymatic combination of nucleic acid chains including a procedure for reacting a nucleic acid chain having a phosphorothioate group with a nucleic acid chain having a hydroxyl group or an amino group in the presence of an electrophile.
