An automatic testing method and system for a vehicular navigation instrument. The method comprises: determining whether the existence of an external bootstrap program is detected (S101); starting the external bootstrap program and starting a testing bootstrap program through the external bootstrap program if the external bootstrap program is detected (S102); detecting whether a first preset name of a formal navigation program exists in a flash memory of the vehicular navigation instrument (S201); if yes, resetting and restarting the operating system of the vehicular navigation instrument and entering the desktop of the operating system after modifying the first preset name of the formal navigation program in the flash memory of the vehicular navigation instrument into a second preset name (S301); if there is not the first preset name of the formal navigation program in the flash memory, detecting whether the second preset name of the formal navigation program exists in the flash memory of the vehicular navigation instrument (S401); if yes, sending an instruction to start a testing program and performing an automatic test for the vehicular navigation instrument according to the testing program after modifying the second preset name of the formal navigation program in the flash memory of the vehicular navigation instrument into the first preset name (S402). The required external bootstrap program, testing bootstrap program and testing program are stored in a peripheral terminal as required in the automatic testing method and system, and then an automatic test is performed to achieve the purpose that a formal navigation program in a flash memory of a vehicular navigation instrument is not required to be upgraded repeatedly, the production flow is simplified, the production time is saved, and the production efficiency is improved. |
