The present invention relates to a refrigerator and, more specifically, relates to a control method for driving a fan motor of a refrigerator when opening a refrigerator door. The control method for driving a fan motor of a refrigerator having a door opening and closing detection unit comprises the following steps of: detecting opening of the refrigerator door; and reducing the number of driven rotation of a fan motor of a refrigerator by lowering a voltage applied to the fan motor of a refrigerator when opening the door to a predetermined level. Thus, size of stop connection of a fan of a refrigerator can be reduced. |
