PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform exhaustion in consideration of cooling of an image forming apparatus as well as cooling of an option unit that may be attached to the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a fan; option unit detection means for detecting whether or not an option unit, which is related to post-processing that is performed to a recording sheet to which print processing has been performed by the image forming apparatus, is attached to the image forming apparatus; and air blowing direction switching means for, when the option unit detection means has detected the attachment of the option unit, switching an air blowing direction of the fan so that an air inside the image forming apparatus is exhausted through the inside of the option unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
