PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure brightness of a screen in which a user visually recognizes.SOLUTION: A display device 20 that is one side of the present disclosure is a display device that causes a user to visually recognize a first image in a first direction and visually recognize a second image in a second direction different from the first direction. The display device 20 includes: a display part (liquid crystal layer 23) that alternately displays the first image and second image; an irradiation part (backlight 24) that irradiates the display part displaying the first image or the second image with irradiation light; a distribution part (parallax barrier 21) that distributes the irradiation light transmitted through the display part to at least either one of the first direction or the second direction; and an irradiation control part (backlight control part 32) that switches the irradiation direction of the irradiation part on the basis of the direction in which the first image or the second image displayed on the display part is visually recognized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
