PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of minimizing an effect on a wavelength path when an optical signal is inserted and the modulation speed and the modulation format of an optical signal are switched.SOLUTION: A wavelength multiplexing transmission system includes: a plurality of optical transmitter for outputting optical signals with wavelengths different to each other; optical receivers for receiving the optical signals respectively; an optical fiber transmission path for multiplexing the output optical signals to be transmitted; and a network management unit connected to the optical transmitters and the optical receivers. The optical transmitters have a test state outputting an optical signal for a test, the network management unit controls the optical transmitters so that the optical transmitters are in the test state for a predetermined period, and the optical receivers notify the signal quality of received optical signals to the network management unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
