The present invention pertains to a reception device and a reception method that are capable of minimizing the impact of double-lapping of time information indicating the order of selection for BB frames during channel bonding. The reception device: receives a plurality of divided streams that can be obtained by dividing a BB frame in a BB stream, being a stream of BB frames, into a plurality of data slices; selects the next BB frame from among selectable BB frames, on the basis of a difference value for time information indicating the order of selection for BB frames when reconfiguring the plurality of divided streams; and reconfigures the original BB stream from the plurality of divided streams, by processing the BB frames in the selected order. The present invention can be applied, for example, to channel bonding such as PLP bundling, etc. |
